Abstract
Decreased cost of development delivery, and
reduced travel, subsistence costs and time away
from the job
Increased flexibility and readiness to respond to
evolving business requirements with rapid roll-out
of new and organisational-specific learning to a
distributed audience.

e-Learning is attaining meaning in this Internet
world referable to the obvious advantages of anywhere
anytime learning, to reach the inaccessible and so
on. It is a well known fact that explosion of
technologies were due to
the wide spread
adoption of common standards.
Standards
impose certain fix providing more uniform and
precise access and manipulation to e-Learning
resources and data. in that respect are number of
organizations working to develop specifications
and standards such as IMS, ADL, ARIADNE,
IEEE, ISO etc to provide frame work for eLearning architectures, to facilitate interoperability,
content
packaging,
content
management,
Learning bearing Meta data, course sequencing
and many more. IMS and IEEE-LTSA standard
features are discussed in more percentage point in this talk.
LTSA layered architecture that is very robust and
consensus ground model are discussed.



Standards
suggested by the AASL for learning community of
breeding age were also found mention in this
talk.

development
by
a
number
of
people
simultaneously.
Therefore
design
and
development of standards need to be dumbfound in place
to ensure consistency and transferability of skills.
Students are also far-off less forgiving in terms of

The main issues today in e-Learning are (i) how
