The Enemy Within

The Yellow paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is about a woman who deals with several complications in her life and has a nervous depression.  Her husband John is her vivify where he watches heavily over her, tameling her life and tells her what she stool do and when she can do it. I feel shes unable to do anything without his permission. After delivering a baby, John brings her into this peeled house and puts her in a bedroom with glistening colour wallpaper which drove her insane. She sees the wallpaper as a emblem of women being caged up in prison.
It states that Sometimes I call there are a great many women behind, and sometimes only one, and she crawls around fast, and her crawling shakes it all over. Then in the very bright cutaneous sensess she keeps still, and in the very dark spots she just takes hold of the bars and shakes them hard, (248). This shows how the author sincerely yours feels in bright and in darkness. In the very bright spot, it shows that the author feels locked down and imprisoned. He watches over her all the time, takes eff control of her and al bureaus telling her what to do.



But the shady spot shows when her husband is not there shes free to do whatever she wants. Hes not there to control her thoughts and crazy imaginations.
In the ending, she ripped down the wallpaper which is showing her way of being free. I can definitely relate to this compact story because men do believe that in a relationship they can control women and place orders for them to do peculiarly if they are the provider of the house. In the past, Ive seen how men tough women because they were categorized as the objects.
