trojan War.
A Horse is a Horse, of Course - or is it?
The Trojan war was a war between too groups of people. The two opposing armies were, the Greeks and the people of troy, the Trojans. Troy appears to stand been destroyed around 1180 B.C. For nine years the Greeks attacked Torys meet cities and countryside, entirely Troy itself held out. Untill the Greeks built a large hollow, woody horse, so that a small group of warriors could be concealed in it. But the whole strife began after the Trojan prince Paris abducted Helen, wife of Menelaus of Sparta. When Menelaus demanded her return, the Trojans refused.
Was there really a Trojan War? My answer would be probably so, just dismission by the information of Homers lliad. What information can you find to keep that idea? There is evidence of a conflagration, some skeletons, and tons of sling bullets. People who allow successfully defended their city would have gathered their sling bullets and put them away for another topic, but a victorious conqueror would have d maven slide fastener with them. So if the Greeks won the Trojan War they would have odd the sling bullets, therefore evidence for a vitorious war. This is why I hold the Trojan War happened.
What information makes you doubt that this event ever happened? I myself see no evidence that makes me think this war did not happen.
Archeologists discovered that there was a powerful city in Asia Minor where Tory would have been, which was destroyed at the end of the 13th century. There were many levels of cities on this site. The one which most likely corresponds with the great war of the Achaeans is Troy VII, which was destroyed in 1190 BC either by earthquake or by attack. Its location and apparent wealth suggest that it would have been a trade rival to the powerful Mycenaens. The prize was break of the Aegean.
